Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 1, 2026 · Last reviewed: August 19, 2026

Template — review before relying on it

This policy is a starting template that describes how this website currently works. It is not legal advice. Vigil Vector should have qualified privacy counsel review and finalize it before publication, and re-confirm the specifics — especially the third-party processors named below and any analytics or tracking tools added later.

Vigil Vector LLC ("Vigil Vector," "we," "us") operates this website at vigilvector.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit the site or contact us, how we use it, who processes it on our behalf, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. It covers this public website only. Information exchanged during a contracted engagement is governed separately by the applicable contract, statement of work, and any data-handling terms agreed with the customer.

Information we collect

Contact form submissions. When you use our contact form, we collect the information you provide — typically your name, work email, organization, phone number (optional), mission area, and your message. These submissions are transmitted and processed by our form provider, Formspree, and delivered to us by email.

Direct correspondence. If you email or call us using the addresses and numbers on the site, we receive whatever information you choose to include (for example, your email address, phone number, and the contents of your message).

Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records standard technical information when pages are requested — such as IP address, browser type and user agent, referring page, and the date and time of the request. These logs are generated by the hosting infrastructure for security, reliability, and abuse prevention.

No analytics or advertising trackers. As currently built, this site does not install analytics, advertising, remarketing, or social-media tracking cookies, and it does not set cookies of its own. The site loads web fonts from Google Fonts (see processors below), which may involve your browser contacting Google's servers. If Vigil Vector adds analytics or other tracking in the future, this policy must be updated to disclose it and, where required, to obtain consent.

How we use information

We use the information you submit to respond to your inquiry, evaluate and scope potential engagements, and communicate with you about your request. We use server logs to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the website. We do not use your contact-form information to send marketing newsletters unless you separately opt in.

Legal bases (for visitors in the EU/UK)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on our legitimate interest in responding to inquiries and operating a secure website, and, where you initiate contact, on taking steps at your request prior to entering an agreement. Where consent is the appropriate basis (for example, if optional marketing is added later), we will ask for it.

Data retention

We keep contact submissions and correspondence for as long as needed to respond to and manage the relationship they relate to, and thereafter only as needed for legitimate business or legal recordkeeping. Server logs are retained by our hosting provider for a limited period under its standard practices. You may ask us to delete information we hold about you (see "Your rights").

We do not sell your information

Vigil Vector does not sell your personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only with the service providers that help us operate the site and respond to you (described below), or where required by law.

Third-party processors

We use a small number of service providers to run the site. Each processes information only as needed to provide its service:

  • Formspree — processes and delivers contact-form submissions. Your form data passes through Formspree's systems on its way to us.
  • Hostinger — website hosting. Serves the site's files and generates the standard server logs described above.
  • Google Fonts — the site loads typefaces from Google's font CDN, so your browser may request font files from Google's servers, which can involve your IP address. (If self-hosted fonts are adopted in a later build, this entry should be removed.)

Each provider maintains its own privacy practices. Vigil Vector should confirm this list matches the final deployed build and add or remove processors accordingly.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, California residents may request to know what personal information we hold, request its deletion or correction, and are entitled not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights; because we do not sell or share personal information for advertising, there is no "opt out of sale" to exercise. Under the GDPR and UK GDPR, individuals may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and may object to certain processing, and may lodge a complaint with their supervisory authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@vigilvector.com or use our contact page. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. You may authorize an agent to act on your behalf where the law allows.

Data security

We take reasonable measures to protect information handled through the site, including HTTPS transport. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. Please do not send classified, controlled, or otherwise sensitive government information through the public contact form; contact us to arrange an appropriate channel. Controlled information within a contracted engagement is handled under the terms and safeguards agreed for that engagement.

Children's privacy

This site is intended for business and government audiences and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Government-contracting context

Vigil Vector LLC is a small business serving government and critical-infrastructure customers (CAGE 147K3, UEI HB3SS3C7KVJ9). Information you provide through this site may be used to assess fit for federal or public-sector engagements. This does not change the rights described above.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site or our practices change. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
